The Zombies Are Coming!
New creepy, cuddly ZOMBIEZOO collectables to hit the market August 2010
They’re cute, they’re cuddly, they’re collectible and yes, they’re even a bit creepy too! August 2010 will see the arrival of the hottest line of new, collectable plush toys called ZOMBIEZOO, from award-winning children’s author and illustrator Neecy Twinem.
If you’ve been searching for something different and a bit quirky, ZOMBIEZOO creatures are for you, your kids and collectable lovers of all ages who appreciate high quality, plush toys with an unusual story line that will warm your heart and make you smile.
ZOMBIEZOO will debut with five unique, designer plush characters: Boo, Muck, Rob, Stich and Toxic. Each character is 12” high, constructed of soft fleece, sporting an original, turned-inside-out look, “Frankenstein” quality embroidery stitching, and endearing faces on their large heads. Adorning their necks is a personality tag on a chain. It’s the perfect gift for that special someone looking for a collectable plush friend to bond with and hug.
As an artist and children’s book author/illustrator, Neecy Twinem is always dreaming up new stories and characters for her books, paintings or just for fun. Being a huge lover of toys and anything quirky, she truly is one of those “grown-up” kids. She also adores Dia de los Muertos (Mexico’s Day of the Dead holiday) and collects anything playfully dead. One of her greatest desires has been to design and manufacturer her own line of toys.
Twinem claims the idea for ZOMBIEZOO was whispered to her one night by Boo, her black cat and her greatest muse. While Twinem may be the creator of ZOMBIE ZOO, she is definitely not your typical zookeeper. She doesn’t try to “keep” the zombies or even try to tell them what to do. They have their own minds and desires and sometimes “keep” her!
“The instant the Zombie critters become your guide, you’re on your way to adventure,” said Twinem. “Let them be your companion and muse. They’re cute and creepy, but never gory. You will be surprised to discover how cuddly these living-dead animals can be!”
ZOMBIEZOO is unlike any zoo you have ever visited. While it has exotic animals, gift shops, restaurants, moats, fences and a zookeeper, in ZOMBIEZOO, the animals are in charge.
